Difference between class a molecular sieve and class B desiccant


1. The true 3A molecular sieve, with pH value of 8-9, belongs to weak alkali, will not corrode hollow other auxiliary materials such as aluminum strip and glue. The lattice channel of 3A molecular sieve is only 3 Angstrom, which is the smallest of all molecular sieves, and can only absorb water and not absorb any other components in the air. The water solution is clear, free of impurities and crystallites, and is the first choice of high quality auxiliary materials in the hollow market. Yongcheng 3A molecular sieve is a high-quality product made from raw 3A powder synthesized from natural zeolite ore. It is calcined at 950 degree of natural gas. The pH value is 8-9, which is weak alkaline.

Generally, the desiccant is packed in a very thin transparent plastic bag, which is easy to damage during transportation and will be pre adsorbed too early, thus reducing the use effect to a large extent. The results show that the adsorption capacity of the desiccant is not different from the real molecular sieve in appearance; the quality of the desiccant is that when the relative humidity is below 10%, the adsorption capacity is very low. The main disadvantages of desiccant are: reaction with water, low temperature rise (generally about 20 degrees) and fragile; strong alkaline in water, pH value of 11-13,; after a period of adsorption, the skin falls off; the dew point is high, sometimes the dew point is low, but it has strong corrosiveness, which will corrode aluminum strip and sealant, making hollow glass easy to condensation, and greatly reduce the service life of hollow glass. Another is to add calcium chloride clay desiccant, pH less than 7, is acidic, also corrosive.
